Implementing a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle is crucial for ensuring quality improvement. This four-step process involves planning, executing, assessing, and standardizing procedures (ASQ, n.d.). Constant evaluation in a cyclical manner aids in discarding unsupported ideas and progressing towards organizational success (ASQ, n.d.).

Quality efforts in healthcare ensure that organizations prioritize patients’ well-being while optimizing organizational performance. Patient safety practices, particularly in medication administration, play a pivotal role in preventing harm (NCBI, n.d.).
